EA$Y MONEY RECAP: August 17, 2016

Solid day yesterday as we went 3-1. Here's what happened:

Australia (-160) v. Lithuania $$$$$

Australia went up early and never looked back, beating Lithuania 90-64. They dominated the game with an efficient offense, shooting an unbelievable 52% from the field.

Patty Mills continued his Olympic scoring tear, leading all players with 24 points.

Lithuania struggled to find open shots and turned the ball over 17 times.

Spain (-170) v. France $$$$$

Spain cruised to an easy victory against France, downing them 92-67. Nikola Mitotic was the star for the Spaniards, shooting 9/15 from the field, good for 23 points.

It was Tony Parker's last Olympic game, and he played well with 14 points and 4 assists.

He has had a great international career and will be sorely missed by the French.

Luis Scola (under 17.5 points) v. U.S.A. $$$$$

Scale came close, but wasn't able to cover with only 15 points in Argentina's loss to the U.S. Scola had me scared towards the end, as he reached 14 points with 7:32 remaining. But the U.S. bigs were able to contain him down the stretch, and we came out victorious.

The loss marked an end of an era for Argentina, as it was the final game for long time stars Scola and Manu Ginobili. The two have a lot to be proud of, including an unbelievable defeat of the US in the 2004 games, a year they claimed gold.

Croatia (+170) v. Serbia XXXX

This game came down to the wire, but it was Serbia's free throw shooting late that propelled them to the next round, shooting 5/6 from the stripe in the final :18 seconds.

Olympic scoring leader Bogdan Bogdanovic continued his unbelievable run in the losing effort, putting in 28 for Croatia.
