EA$Y MONEY RECAP: July 21, 2016

It was a tough night going 0-2 in picks for the day. Let's take a look at what went right and what went wrong.

Brewers at Pirates Over 8.5

(Brewers 3-5 Pirates)

I've gotta hand it to Liriano, he showed up tonight. He handled the Brewers with ease, allowing just one run while striking out 13. As predicted, the Pirates offense did their part putting together 11 hits and 5 runs over the course of the game. It was a tough bet to lose considering both teams really should have put up a run in both halves of the 8th, but that's just how it goes sometimes. Although it didn't go our way, I still like the prospect of the Pirates over as a consistent bet for the remainder of the season.

Rays at A's Under 8

(Rays 7-3 A's)

Matt Moore did his part in shutting down the A's lineup aside from a mistake leading to a 3-run shot in the bottom of the 2nd. However, Sonny Gray really let me down in this one. The abysmal Rays offense was not just getting hits, but they were shelling Gray out there today. The 3rd inning was the only which Gray managed to hold them scoreless which is not great to say the least. Note as soon as Gray left the game in the 5th, the Rays offense put together just one hit. I wouldn't take this as any more than a good day for the Rays and a bad day for Gray.
