Red Sox -1.5 (-110) vs Giants

I usually would never insult Bruce Bochy, after all he's a future Hall of Famer, by choosing his team to lose by more than a run, but this matchup just seems too favorable to pass on. In his debut, I trust that Pomeranz (8-7, 2.47) will prove to Boston that their hefty investment will be well worth it. The huge southpaw (6'6" 240 lbs) will be a tough challenge for a Giants lineup that doesn't match up well against left-handed pitching. I expect a big game out of Big Papi, against the right-handed Matt Cain (1-5, 5.34 ERA), in getting runs on the board for the Sox in order to help gift Pomeranz a win in his Fenway debut.
